Helpful Information for Patients
How do I make an appointment?
Once we have received your referral from your GP, one of our experienced administrative staff will contact you to make an appointment. Alternatively, you are welcome to contact us via phone or email to make an appointment.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
It will be helpful if you knew your medical history and past treatments as the psychiatrist will ask you about this during your appointment. You may wish to bring a support person to your appointment if you choose.
How do I connect to my psychiatrist for my appointment?
After your appointment is made, you will be sent a link to your email address. You will need to click on that link a few minutes before your appointment. This will take you to a virtual waiting room. Your psychiatrist will let you into the virtual appointment room when they are ready to see you.
Our videolink platform is intuitive and very easy to use but we recommend that you do a test run before your appointment. You are welcome to contact our helpful administrative staff to guide you through the process if you are experiencing difficulties connecting.
How long will my appointments take?
Please allow 60 minutes for your appointment.
Fees
We have bulk billed thousands of patients but due to Medicare changes, sadly we are no longer able to do so. Medicare will cover part of the consultation fee, however a gap fee will apply. The fee will be discussed with you and pre-approved before the appointment is made.
All patients seen under WorkCover, TAC, DVA and VOC will have their assessment covered by the relevant providers, as long as the assessment is pre-approved by the appropriate provider. Canellations Fees Please note that we require 48 hours notice for cancellations. Any cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment or no shows will incur a cancellation fee of the full cost of the assessment. Please note that cancellation fees are not medicare rebateable.
